Your Undersea Walk Itinerary

Each tour commences at the scheduled time at our Tour Trailer at the Disabled Divers Platform, just back from the deep end of the Jetty.  Because its a safety brief, its CRITICAL that you are there for the start of your tour.  PLEASE DO NOT BE LATE as you will unfortunately forfeit your tickets:-(  (We unfortunately need to do this as you being late is beyond our control, and we have reserved you two tickets on the tour at your scheduled departure time that we could have sold to someone else, and incurred all the costs associated with you doing your tour.)

1.  SCHEDULED TOUR START TIME MINUS HALF AN HOUR

Either Board the Jetty Train one half an hour before your Undersea Walk is scheduled to begin, or walk out to the deep end of the Jetty from the shore, leaving yourself around 25 minutes for the walk, if going at a decent walking pace.

2. SCHEDULED TOUR START TIME

Your Tour Briefing will start at the scheduled time, and will go through all the information you need to know to participate in your tour safely and enjoyably.

3.  GEAR ISSUED

After your briefing you will be issued wetsuit, thermal undergarment, and sandals to wear during your underwater walk.

4.  LADDER DESCENT

You will then accompany your guide down to the bottom of the ramp, and descend the dive ladder from the platform to the ocean-floor, one participant at a time.  During your descent your guide will be right next to you every single step, ensuring you are equalising and everything is going smoothly.

5.  JOIN YOUR TOUR

Literally.  You will take hold of the Mobile Handrail we use to stabilise and guide our participants during their tour.  Once all Walkers are down, your guides will head off for your undersea walk through the Jetty pylons, taking photos as we go.

6.  LADDER ASCENT

At the end of your underwater walk, your guide will accompany you step by step up the Dive Ladder leading from the Ocean Floor to the surface.  Your helmet and backpack will be lifted off your shoulders, and you will ascent to the Disabled Divers ramp.

7. DE-GEAR AND PHOTOS

You’ll then head up the ramp to the Jetty proper, where you will return your gear, and have the opportunity to look through your tour photos.
